The cutting table is the quietest room in the workshop and the one where the most is decided. Sabina has cut panels here for eleven years and can tell from the drape whether a roll of canvas will hold a stitch line under load. Downstairs the machines are loud and old and maintained the way you maintain something you intend to keep. Nothing here is fast. That is not a manufacturing constraint we are apologising for — it is the reason the seams hold.
